So Why Does Read40 Exist?

Reading glasses sit in an odd place. Most options are either disposable or expensive without offering much more. Very little exists in between.

People who care about quality in most aspects of life treat reading glasses as an afterthought — picked up in a hurry, replaced just as easily. We don't think that's right.

They're worn every day. They shape how clearly you see and how you present yourself. They deserve better attention.

The Origin

Read40 began with that precise quiet irritation in 2022. The lack of attention to something that is worn on our faces.

We looked more closely. Over the next three years, we studied materials, balance, optical alignment, and comfort — why some glasses caused fatigue, and others didn't. Why some glasses suit a face well and why sometimes, they don't. 

Curiosity became commitment.

Read40 is the result of this effort.
